The R.E.D. Friday Movement
What is the RED Friday Movement?
The RED Friday Movement is an awareness campaign to show thanks and support to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. R.E.D. is an acronym that stands for Remember Everyone Deployed. This page is dedicated to the men and women at Wayne State University that have served their Country at one point of their lives. All of these Service Members are students and faculty here at Wayne State University and some still serve today.
The Purpose of RED Friday
As like other movements, RED Friday is intended to demonstrate a unified support for the U.S. Service Members not only here at Wayne State University, but across the United States of America. By using a visual display of a “RED” shirt we are showing that this movement is real and alive. This doesn’t mean there is a greater agenda for the movement; it just means pure support for those who have chosen to serve.
How can I show my support?
Every Friday wear any RED t-shirt, sweat shirt, blouse, tank top, or upper body clothing that is visible and is not derogatory.
Specifically wearing the RED t-shirt or sweat shirt dedicated to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces sold at the Student Veteran Organization.
Taking a picture in your RED gear and tagging the Wayne State University Student Veterans Organization on Facebook, or tagging @wsu_svo on Instagram or Twitter.
As Arthur C. Clarke once said, "The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible." These men and women have shown their dedication and support to our Country and You, so show them what that means; by wearing RED on Fridays.
